Harry Taylor

The Department of Geography regrets to announce that Professor Emeritus Harry Taylor passed away on November 5, 2007 at the age of 77. He graduated from the University of Maryland in 1962 after completing a thesis entitled "Areal Patterns of Industry, Sao Paulo Brazil." After coming to Western in 1965, Harry continued to conduct research in South and Latin America. He was particularly interested in spatial-temporal demographic models and housing stock. He will be remembered as a fair-minded and honest colleague. After retiring in 1993, Harry would often be seen on the golf course, a game he thoroughly enjoyed and was good at! We offer our sincerest sympathies to his family.
